The Tranquility of Easter and Spring

There is one thing to get so excited about.....  winter is over and the spring season is whispering its way into our daily life.  For the first time in a long time, I heard the rain beat down on our roof and windows this morning.  By noon the sun began to shine and the temperatures began to rise. It was an introduction to Spring and a day that was a gentle reminder that birds will sing and the smell of fresh green grass will create a feeling of excitement and hope.

Welcome to Spring and to this month's Spring/Easter Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Rita from Panoply starting Tuesday,  April 1st, 2025.  I am delighted that you can join us and hope that you have an opportunity to view all of the joyous Spring tablescapes that our designers have shared.  View each of the links below so that you can see the variety of the holiday tables. They are all truly inspirational and I am certain they will provide you with tips and ideas for your own holiday and will leave you with such furor to celebrate Spring.

The Little Yellow Corner Store has joined this year's Easter Tablescape Hop with a design that exemplifies a soft and smooth change into Spring.  The tablescape is done with delicate blues and white and is accented with gold trimmed dinnerware and stemware.  The subtle blue color reminds me of days watching the shapes of white puffy clouds in the bright blue skies or gazing out at the glistening blue water of the lake as white cap waves roll into shore.  Both can be very calming.

The delicate blue and off white paisley Ralph Lauren tablecloth and matching napkins set the foundation for the elegance of the gold trimmed china.  The table is simple but with an element of elegance.

The place setting includes a hint of whimsy and playfulness with the gold trimmed Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit salad plate.  Peter Rabbit dressed in his decorative blue jacket and surrounded by butterflies and bunches of delicate petite white flowers surely captured my heart.  It is easy for adults and children alike to fall in love with his sweetness.

The place setting glows in the morning sun and adds to Peter's cheerfulness.

A white lace placemat and a sprig of delicate white florals tucked into the napkin fold. replicates Peter Rabbit enveloped in his floral garden.

A white pitcher filled with lilacs, tulips, peonies and blue sage gives the Spring table a tranquil but yet a dramatic look.

It wouldn't be Easter without my late sister's gold eggs in a blue and white transferware bowl that she also gave me.  I love the vibrant cobalt blue color of the bowl displaying a village scene including a beautiful castle in the distance, but I have no idea the age or maker of the bowl.  Even though there is a symbol on the bottom of the dish, it is unclear as to what it is.  (The stamped symbol may even be upside down in the photo?)   I find it interesting that the village scene is also depicted on the sides of the bowl. ( I would welcome any information should someone have knowledge of this piece. )

Perhaps a cup of tea and a Easter Sugar Cookie Bar might just add to the excitement of Spring.

Who can resist the pastel blue, green, white and lavender sprinkle mix and balls.

Well, it looks like not everyone is excited for Spring.

  1. What a lovely table, with wonderful touches of whimsy. I love the flowers tucked into the napkin, a number of people have done that this morning, and I am totally taking that idea for the future. I also love your sleeping bunny, tucked up against the Easter cookie bars. They look fabulous!

  6. Serenity is the word that came to mind as I scrolled through your post. The soft colors, the easy way each table element added its soft voice to the symphony, the striking exuberance of the flower countered by shy Peter Rabbit. A table to linger over and enjoy more than once during Spring. The intricate gold bands on the dinnerware and glassware add a note of elegance — with bunny whimsy. Happy Spring!
