Pretty in Pink Spider Tablescape for Halloween

Welcome to The Little Yellow Corner Store.  It is our determination this year to create something slightly different for Halloween.

Here at The Little Yellow Corner Store, the challenge of making a spider elegant and fashionable was accepted and the work began using a white with pink bow salad plates as an inspiration piece.  This task is far from the ghoulish and ghostly theme that Halloween brings.  We decided to take on the challenge of mixing romance, whimsy and fright all together in one tablescape.  Let's see if we achieved our unique goal.

The femininity of pink bows contrasts perfectly with the gothic look of black and white.  The soft romantic items like the pink bow salad plates, pastel pink stemware, the pink bows and floral topped pumpkin as the centerpiece adds soft details to the bold print of the black web-like spider tablecloth with a pink tablecloth lining underneath and the large black and white harlequin bows placed on the dainty pink bow plates.

The gold flatware and gold-trimmed black charger subtly speaks of refined dining.

The front door wreath duplicates the Pretty In Pink Spider Tablescape.  The spiders come dressed in glitter.

Have a fun and fancy Halloween.

I would like to dedicate this Halloween tablescape to our dear friend and fellow tablescape blogger, Mary, from Home Is Where the Boat Is who recently passed away.  Mary was my inspiration for well over ten years and was exceptionally talented in all things.  She will be dearly missed and I will forever cherish her fine work.  Mary's humor also included Halloween tablescapes centered around Rod and Rowena, her two most decorated and, may I say, most fashionable Halloween skeletons.  We all enjoyed her beautiful work with tablescapes, gardening and her potting shed and her delicious recipes.  She will always be remembered with each tablescape designed by others that she has helped to inspire.
