Last of the Summer Time Cutie Pies and a Quirky Tablescape

Do you love eating pie for dessert any time during the year?  I certainly do, especially when it is paired up with a scoop of ice cream.  If you have been following my previous posts, you know that I love designing adorable cutie pie pin cushions that represent various flavors of real baked pies.  Throughout this summer, it has been a whole lot of fun coming up with a list of pie flavors for my cutie pie creations.  What a creative challenge to think up a design to replicate a particular flavor of an edible pie.  I try to depict the delectable flavor and essence of each cutie pie with details as close as possible to the genuine and real thing.  This week are the four remaining summer flavors for a cutie pie:  strawberry rhubarb, strawberry, raspberry and mixed berry (raspberry, blueberry and strawberry).

Strawberry Rhubarb:

Strawberry:

Raspberry:

Mixed Berry:

Of course, I think these cutie pies make such adorable Christmas ornaments.  They are charming and playful and offer many options to decorate the tree into a theme, like an entire tree made up of baked goods and kitchen items such as mini rolling pins, cookie cutters, kitchen utensils, etc.  Or perhaps a fruit themed tree would be perfect with these assorted cutie pies.

Of course, I have already made up some of my cutie pies with Fall flavors.  In case you missed the article or are interested in purchasing a cutie pie(s),  just visit: The Anticipation of Fall.    If you missed the previous flavors, visit:  .Flavors from the Tropics and Are You A Cutie Pie?  The link to purchase any of the cutie pies is in the side bar for Craftygrannie's Forever Christmas.

Certainly, any of these cutie pies displayed together on a tiered plate stand makes a sweet centerpiece and a fun, mixed-match, whimsical tablescape.

It is all about bringing the last of summer's merriment to the table and I think these cutie pies inspired such a wacky and comical tablescape that brings some humor and a laugh to any guest.

It won't be too long before we look forward to all of the Christmas flavors too, such as egg nog, pecan, cranberry, gingerbread, peppermint candy cane and chocolate mint.   The fun continues!
