Cozying Up Indoors - A Grey Plaid Winter

Now that the holidays are over, it is time to focus on enjoying the rest of winter whether it is indoors or out.  Since there is plenty of snow and cold temperatures coming our way, keeping warm and cozy is still the plan.  If you are someone who loves the snow and all of the recreational activities associated with it, winter remains a fun event.  However, when it comes to staying warm and cozy inside, particularly after these activities or just from shoveling, it is essential to bring out the warm plaid blankets, candles and hot beverages.  A grey plaid winter tablescape can also add to the warmth and coziness of the indoors.

You might recall at the on-set of winter, we celebrated the first snow fall and the change in the season on the front porch with plenty of grey winter plaid.  If you missed this post, just visit this link: Hot Chocolate on the Winter Porch

There was plenty of grey plaid fabric available, so the remaining yards of fabric made a beautiful tablecloth.  Accented with a pop of bright red from the napkins and stemware and the accompanying forest friends like deer and hedgehogs, the grey plaid winter tablescape is perfect for the remainder of the snowy season.

A white ceramic mother deer and her baby beautifully decorate the center of this grey plaid tablescape.  They perfectly convey the bond the baby has with its mom.

A collection of clear glass trees were used among the bright green pine branches, red berries and frosted pine cones.   The trees illuminate and glow when the afternoon sun shines on the table.

And a little white bell was added to each place setting as a reminder of all of the sleigh rides with sleigh bells through the snow.

A  cute little hedgehog pays a visit to this winter tablescape.  He happens to be a decorated cheese ball and is delicious served on crackers!

  3. That hedgehog cheese ball is adorable. During the winter I liek to have a little of a white theme so I have a few snowmen and birds on my mantle and sideboards.
