A Celebration of Mother's Day

We are once again approaching the month of May.  Overall, the year flies by so quickly and yet it seems like it took forever for May to get here. I find that each year in May, the Mother's Day holiday becomes more and more precious and meaningful for me.  Perhaps it could be because of my acute awareness of the swiftness by which time is passing.  Or, it could be an awakening of the ever changing progression of life's stages that makes me come to fully appreciate the woman my mother truly was as I was growing up.  Certainly, this insight has helped me to reflect upon the kind of mother that I had been to my own children through the many years.

So to celebrate Mother's Day in May, I am sharing both my Mama Sassy Pants' Pretty Perky Pink Tablescape and a tender, heartwarming poem from a friend honoring moms who are no longer with us.  I decided to post this Mother's Day tablescape a bit early due to the fact that I am eagerly looking forward to having both of my children home at the same time for a visit in earlyMay, so it will be a busy time.

Therefore, I am sending early wishes to you and your family for a very blessed and memorable Mother's Day.

Now lets sit down to Mama Sassy Pants' Pretty Perky Pink table with plenty of polka dots, feathers and bling in sassy pink, black and silver...........and who can't resist the chewy chocolate brownie bites too.

  2. Mama Sassy Pants outdid herself. So many details that it's hard to choose a favorite, but I'm feeling some serious like for the pink napkins with the reverse side in polka dots. I love polka dots! Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
