A Storybook Easter Tablescape

The Little Yellow Corner Store and Blossom wishes you all a Happy Spring and a Happy Easter.   The excitement of Spring has arrived and it has inspired so much creativity at The Little Yellow Corner Store. Designing a Spring/Easter tablescape is only half of the thrill of the season.  The new season seems to have sparked the imagination which takes us beyond just the formulation of tablescape themes, it arouses an intense awakening of artistic fantasy to bring an expressive story to the design and everything else.

It is more than a Storybook Easter Tablescape.  It is about the story of Blossom, the sweet, bubbly bunny and niece of Fern.

If you all have been reading previous posts from The Little Yellow Corner Store, you would remember our visit from Fern during the Easter of 2022.  If you missed Fern's introduction, you can view it here: Funny Bunny Fern and Her Breakfast Tablescape.   A photo of our precious and fashionable Fern is below.

This year Blossom has now come to visit and brighten our Easter celebration.

With her love for pastel colors and plenty of florals, Blossom definitely carries the love for Spring like that of Fern.  At such a young age, Blossom, enjoys going for long walks to pick Spring flowers to help decorate her room.  Can you tell that pink tulips are her favorite?  Of course, her favorite scented flower is the hyacinth, but she enjoys tulips and daffodils and more.  She anxiously awaits for the appearance of these flowers after such a long and colorless winter.

Each day Blossom wakes up to warm Spring weather with plenty of sunshine.  It makes her feel so happy that she puts on her prettiest pastel dress and selects the loveliest matching bonnet.  (Like that of Fern, Blossom has a love for Spring bonnets of all kinds.  Most of Fern's bonnets are made with lace, ribbon and flowers and Blossom shares the same enthusiasm.)  She selected her multi-pastel colored plaid pinafore dress.  Her passion for surrounding herself with Spring flowers overwhelms her and she eagerly hops outside each morning without the thought of breakfast and begins her task of gathering flowers in the newly growth of Spring.

The white pinafore apron that she wears over the plaid pastel dress has the cutest pink bow tied in the back.  Blossom loves all of the littlest details to her collection of dresses and accessories.

As a result, Blossom and her love for flowers have inspired The Little Yellow Corner Store to create a Storybook Easter Tablescape.  A tablecloth with a design none other than a pink and cream, vintage floral pattern will do as a backdrop for Blossom.  The delicate pink flowers in the tablecloth enhances the pink floral design in the Creative, Regency Rose Fine China made in Japan.  The china is trimmed in gold and has a rippled edge on each plate, almost a replica of ruffles.  The set comes with a serving bowl and plate and sugar bowl and creamer.  Blossom would definitely approve of the choice of dinnerware since she loves anything that is ruffled.  It is exactly why Blossom elegantly sits on a white ruffled hand-crocheted doilie.  Little doilies embellish each pink napkin held together by a white tea cup napkin holder too.

As we approach the Easter holiday, Blossom and her brother and sister paint many Easter eggs to leave for the children in the neighborhood.  They love to hide them among the many bushes and trees for children to find.  Some are decorated and others are filled with chocolate and candy treats.  The smiles on the children's face when they find the eggs make Blossom and her siblings overjoyed.

Blossom's painted eggs this year are certainly a reflection of her unique style.  Can you tell she adores the color pink?

When Blossom is finished delivering all of the decorated Easter eggs and Easter treats to the children in the neighborhood, she hops on over the Aunt Fern's Burrow for lunch and plenty of Easter smiles, hugs and kisses. They enjoy their time together drinking tea and eating their lunch of fresh salad greens and sweet, crisp carrots.  It is always a pleasure to visit Aunt Fern.  Her burrow is decorated for Spring with colorful linens, flowers and framed photos of the family visiting gardens from around the world.

Blossom and Fern would like to send a holiday message to you too.........

Happy Spring and have a wonderful and memorable Easter!
Love Blossom (and Aunt Fern)
