Art of Tablesetting Exhibit 2018

What does the month of October hold for you?  Are your days filled with harvesting and preserving the last remaining goods from the garden or farmer's markets?  Is it one more go around with mowing the lawn and raking fallen leaves?  Is it exchanging summer yard art for colorful pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks and straw bales?

October is a special month not only because of the change in the season and the beautiful foliage, but because it is the month in which the exhibit, The Art of Tablesetting, is held at the Rahr Art Museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  For many of you who have read my blog posts before, you already know that it is that time of year the community artists participate in creating some unique tablescapes in this display that runs the entire month of October (October 7, 2018 to November 4, 2018). For location, directions and further details, including other great exhibits, visit their website at:  https://www.manitowoc.org/1907/2018-Exhibits if you plan a trip to see any of their events.

I have included photos of some, but not all, of the various tablescapes in this year's exhibit to help prompt some curiosity and interest for you. You may even recognize my tablescape, Ice Cream Love,  in the exhibit which was previously used in my blog this past summer.  If you are traveling near this stately museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, stop in for a visit.  Enjoy your tour.

Happy Tablescaping!
