Christmas in the Mansion 2014

As I write this post, I can see that just outside my window there is a lot of snow coming down.  The weather people are predicting up to 7 inches of snow by the morning.  Yet, it is but a few days away from Thanksgiving.  The holiday season is coming in like a pitched snowball during a back yard snowball fight---fast and some what unexpectedly.

What helps set me in the spirit of the holidays is the preparation for the Christmas display at the Rahr Museum.  I always look forward to it.  This year I was able to decorate the tree and the surrounding area on the second floor landing.  It is a 9 foot tree, a size I was not used to tackling.  It was so much fun selecting and putting it all together to get the look that I felt would be stunning to any visitors.  Let me know if I accomplished this goal.

The exhibit, Christmas in the Mansion, at the Rahr West Art Museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin begins this Wednesday, November 26, 2014.  So....Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Remember to come and tour the exhibit after this special holiday.  Many blessings to you and your family.
